A SPECIAL NOTE FROM NEW SENIOR OBSERVERS TO NEW IAM OBSERSERS (CAT)
Dear Friends and Riders,
We all thank you for joining the CAT program of OMM and the work you have done. We all have learned something from this course. Before all nobody is perfect. The reason for all of us to be here was not because we are faultless but to enhance our capabilities.
Riding is a way of thinking. During this time a lot has changed; starting with our selves to the way we see others. We have acquired a key that will open many doors in our lives to come.
The wish was that every body could complete this course with success. An outcome of 6 passes out of 6 entries would have made all of us very happy. You must know that we were more disappointed on the outcome than the candidates. I am sure that not only reaching the end but being on the road to the end is already a great achievement. You may not have passed this test but you are already looking at the world through a special window compared to most riders. Apart from this we think that being able to participate in this program is already a success. Remember that only six of you out of 1.5 million riders have participated in this program. If this is not success we don’t know what is, you have added a bundle to this program.
Dear CAT members, You have entered a very special road. Your goal on this road must be to be a guide to raise the existing abilities of your students and enhance their advance riding techniques. Approach the problems of your students adhering to Road Craft and with favorable analysis. Don’t forget that you must be active and have spare time for your students during and after training. Always be ready to sacrifice from your self and your time for your training to be effective. Be organized in such a way that you never jeopardize the safety of yourself and the one of your students. Always smile, be patient, be constructive, with proper clean attire and be fit. Your appearance will speak louder than words. Be open the improvement and follow up on development.
You have accepted a far greater responsibility than you have imagined; live up to it! Don’t forget that you are a roll model with your attire, behavior and vision. Always, be objective. You are all legal members of OMM following its path with the guidance of Paolo Volpara with the support of your trainers and the evaluation of Jon Taylor. You are the show case of OMM and the title of CAT; bare this in mind when planning your actions.
In every race there is one that comes in first. On the note that Jon sent to the senior observers he praised Namik Kutlu as being the best of the group. We applaud Namik once again on his achievement.
