Atlantis near home? A Ride in Sardinia
One of the most recent theories about the lost continent of Atlantis place the Island of Sardinia as the remaining land of that civilization (quoted only once by Plato and source of miths, stories, legends since).
The island is not so far from us and easily accessible with ferry from Naples and it should be considered by riders willing to explore one of the most authentic and unspoiled Parks of Italy. Hopsitable people, good food, rich offer in accommodation and, most important, splendid roads for bikers.
Stefano Olla is an “ internet friend of OMM” and a serious rider: at the time of writing he is in Turkey for a quite extensive tour on two wheels: living in Sardinia he designed a four days tour of the Island that, in his words, is feasible in four days covering the main historical and natural areas leaving to drivers the most frequented zones of mass tourism.
